Dr. Kerri Evans

Dr. Kerri Evans earned a doctoral degree in social work from the Boston College School of Social Work. She earned an MSW from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and her BSW from Elizabethtown College. Dr. Evans has been interested in working with immigrants since she took an international social work course as an undergraduate student.

Before earning her PhD, Kerri worked as a program manager for foster care programs for immigrant and refugee children. Her research questions stem from her years of practice and are geared towards helping agencies improve service delivery, increase funding, and create more welcoming policies. Kerri has numerous publications and presentations center on forced migrants. The majority of her work center on the intersection of immigrants in child welfare or immigrants in K-12 education.
