Amy worked as a social worker for more than ten years before her interest in environmental issues led her to pursue and obtain a certificate in sustainability from Emory University. While starting out in this field she had the opportunity to write a blog piece for her first job. The piece took off and so did Amy’s newfound love of writing. Amy continued to write in the environmental area and was managing editor for a clean energy website before branching out to other areas of interest. Today, she has come full circle writing for mastersinsocialworkonline.org.
These days Amy can be found spending a lot of quality time at home in Atlanta with her husband and son, and their pets Ginger the cat and Matty the dog. Since her hobbies involve a lot of reading and writing, Amy can often be found enjoying a cup of tea with a cat on her lap.
